Ohhh, one of my all time favs by Cure. No matter my mood or location, I could listen to this tune, sing along and feel good.
I remember watching the video on MTV as a kid before school but couldn't find tonight.

Murmur is REM's debut album and this tune is one of my favorites.
Like most songs, I don't really focus on the lyrics but more on how the melody makes me feel. This one moves me in a romantic way, the video doesn't depict it though.
Oh and the guitarist, Peter Buck, went to my high school.

LOA opened up with this one last month at in ATL and it more than warmed up the crowd. I am somewhat new to the album and was pleased and was gyrating.
I really like the syncopated beat which is always sexy coming from this band. It would make an excellent pole dance song and if you use, please invite me to the show . . .

In one of my first club experiences, this song was playing and I thought it was the coolest thing I ever heard.
It's the backbone of this enigmatic band and a little evil. I love it and always will.

I thought it would be appropriate to post this band on St. Patrick's Day. However, the band is really composed of an eclectic group of backgrounds: mainly of musicians from Scotland, Ireland and England.
Anyway, the tune takes me back to the homeland upon listening. Enjoy with your green beer.
