My formative years were spent in the 80's with foundational bands like New Order, Depeche Mode, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Cure, and Jane's Addiction. Even though the 80's was the pioneer decade for the alternative genre, this music transcended into the 90's and to some cool tunes today which could be classified as alternative. Hopefully, this site will bring back some good memories and introduce some things you haven't heard before.

Feedback and suggestions are welcome.

Enjoy.

Ok, the let's round out the DM week in fine fashion. Hope I'm not too predictable but it is the weekend and it's been a freakin' long week.

The video captures the energy of the song. Enjoy!

  1. Good job, SoDAman! How can one go wrong with a song covered by both Marilyn Manson and Johnny Cash? Yes a big hit but for a good reason-> it's simply A great song!! . I liked the week "theme" You should consider a week of GA SoDA music sometime (a few bands from Athens and environs would probably qualify)
